My Online Friends

I've had one of those days, you know what I mean?
So I sit back and relax,
and turn on my computer screen.

I'll talk to all my online friends,
who know just what to say,
to make my stresses go,
and my troubles fade away.

My friends you're always there for me
whenever I feel blue
and though we've never met before
I know our friendships true.

And although we haven't been friends for long
in this short time it seems
we shared so many things already
our hopes, our fears, our dreams.

We come from different walks of life
but we share a common bond
and it's time to say that of all of you
I've grown so very fond.

So thank you friends for being there
whenever I've needed you
I know you're always there for me
and you know I'm there for you.

LIFE

Life is strange,
Nothing stays the same,
Everything must change,
But who’s to blame?

Life is like a game,
Where you have to loose,
Before you can gain,
To win you have to face the rain,

In life they always say,
Don’t use your heart, only use your brain
In life there is love,
But the more is hate,
No one decides,
They all hesitate,
Not knowing the fate

The closest people to you,
Those you need….always go away,
When you need them the most,
They are lost,

Day after day,
Days go by, people are born
Others die,
Year after year,
No one understands,
Nothing is clear,
Nothing in our hearts except fear,

But one things for sure,
The Almighty is always here,
When you whisper a prayer,
 He can always hear,
When you shed a tear,
Live in fear,
Don’t want to face another year,
You can always tell Him what you are going through,
I guarantee,
He will give you an ear.

HOW TO TURN DOWN A PROPOSAL

I hope I didn't do anything wrong,
And I hope this doesn't start a fight
It didn't work out…..because all along
I tried too hard to keep things going right.

I don't think that good friends were made to love,
And if we break up, love will turn to hate,
This friendship I don't want to let go of,
So I suggest that maybe we should wait (my best line).

I hope that things between us are not strange,
Because young romance gets that way,
You are a friend I don't want to exchange,
For a teddy bear on Valentine's Day

I really hope this doesn't make you mad (huh!)
Cause I didn't mean for things to turn out bad.
Xoxo!

HELP ME

Help me when my faith isn’t faithful,
Help me when my strength isn’t strong,
Help me when my peace isn’t peaceful,
Help me when my right isn’t wrong,

Help me with your patience when my patience isn’t here,
Help me with your wisdom when the answers aren’t so clear,
Help me with your presence when I’m feeling lost and lonely,,
Help me with your spirit cause you are my one and only,

A rough exterior hides the softness that is centered inside,
of this young man typing now, these words I cannot hide,
They flow from me freely but the thing people cannot see,
Is that the gentle of this world, are people just like me...

HOPE

I was on the precipice of losing it,
Letting it go forever,
Not a care about it would I have,
'Never will I ever have you again'...i reassured myself.
And I vowed to stick to my word,
The stickler for my words that I am,

2 days without it,
48 hours, 2880 minutes,
And I was sinking already,
Sliding fast, suffocating, drowning, dying…inside,
Without it I was just a shell,
and for a moment I thought
What the xxxx??

Hope is such a marvelous thing.
Why would I ever want to lose it?
It bends, it twists and it sometimes hides...
But rarely does it break.
It sustains us when nothing else can.
It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead,
When we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.

Hope puts a smile on our faces,
Even when the heart cannot manage to...
It puts our feet on the path,
Even when our eyes cannot see it...
It moves us to act,
Even when our souls are confused on the direction..

Hope is a wonderful thing,
Something to be cherished, nurtured,
Something that will always refresh us in return...

It can be found in each of us,
And it brings light into the darkest of places.

So never lose hope!

YOUR VOICE

There is no poetry that can describe your voice,
It brings me so much happiness and joyce,
I’m in love with your voice and I have no choice,

The sweetness of your voice shakes my whole existence,
Makes me so helpless with no resistance,
Your voice is more tender than a violin,
Resisting this voice is a sin,
Your voice is what makes my love for you begin,

Your voice is soothing and warm,
Your voice makes me feel loved and not alone,
When I am nervous you know how to be calm,

I can distinguish your voice from all the crowds,
Your voice has power to melt all my clouds,

Call my name with your voice…call for me,
Scream…your screams are wild like a lion’s roar,
Echoing like sea waves racing on the shore,
Reaching for all the feelings of love stemming from my hearts core,

Whisper softly in my ears,
Comfort all my endless fears,
Bring me back to life…
Pause my passing years…………

ONLY A MOTHER KNOWS

Somebody said that a child is carried in its mother's womb for nine months,
He does not know that a child is carried in its mother's heart forever.

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby,
He doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct,
He has never taken a three-year-old shopping.

Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good.",
He mistakenly thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices,
He never came out the house in time to see the child throw a stone through the neighbour's window.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother,
He has never helped a class five child with his mathematics homework.

Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first,
He doesn't have five children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in motherhood books,
He never had a child stuff beans up his nose.(I once did this years ago).

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour pains and delivery,
He never waved goodbye to the "baby"  on the first day of nursery school.

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married,
He doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home,
He has never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her,
He isn't a mother.
